USEFUL TIP If a particular hotel really takes your fancy, drop it into your itinerary first. Then drop in the attractions you’d like to see in that region. Your map immediately shows how close each attraction is to your accommodation, and makes planning your day so easy. You choose the regions you want to visit, drop in your choice of attractions and activities, then add your accommodation for each night. Remember: you can just keep travelling on to your next region – there’s no need to return toMelbourne at the end of each day. 1 First decide on your route, e.g. Melbourne to the Yarra Valley, Phillip Island, Mornington Peninsula via Searoad Ferries, Geelong and the Bellarine (or vice versa), then back to Melbourne. 2 On the Trip Planner page, click on Destinations. You’ll see all four regions drop down. Choose your first region, e.g. the Yarra Valley. Scroll down to view attractions, tours and accommodation. 3 Click on the Suitcase icon on each attraction and the accommodation you want in your first region – it’s all automatically added to Trip Planner. Finished adding items for your first region? Click on the Trip Planner icon and you’ll see the Attractions and Accommodation you’ve chosen. Scroll down to view your map. Check the map, and change the order of your itinerary if you find there’s backtracking. 4 Then do the same for the other regions you want to visit. Note: you can only add up to 23 options in total. 5 Once you’ve completed your itinerary, you can download a PDF . It shows all attractions and accommodation day-by-day, a route map, and very detailed directions with driving instructions and distances between each attraction. It couldn’t be easier! 42
